The Huron river chain of lakes (AKA Pinckney Chain of Lakes) consists of an eight-mile connection of nine lakes:  Big Portage, Little Portage, Baseline, Zukey, Strawberry, Whitewood, Gallagher, Ore, and Tamarack Lake.   Additional lakes in the Pinckney Lakes area not in the chain include Wynans Lake, Oneida Lake, Rush Lake, Bass Lake & Portage Lake.
